Boots to College is the Student Veterans of America (SVA) Chapter for Moraine Valley Community College. SVA's vision for campus chapters, "These local organizations are the “boots on the ground” that provide peer-to-peer support, which has been linked to academic success and an easier transition to campus for student veterans." Our focus for Boots to College is assisting in the transition to college life and establishing a lifelong network of friends. This is accomplished through monthly meetings, social events, and community service activities. Additionally, work with campus resources and community partners to ensure every veteran and dependent is aware of all related qualifying benefits and services. The chapter advisors are available to student veterans and dependents every week day.
